How We Estimate Prices
The values in Spendtrillionairemoney are reference prices selected for an entertainment simulator. This page explains what kind of evidence supports each category, what remains fictional, and how corrections are reviewed. Nothing here is a live quote, offer, appraisal, or financial recommendation.

The Four Price Classes
| Class | Used for | How the value is chosen |
|---|---|---|
| Published retail | Phones, tablets, laptops | A public manufacturer price for a representative current configuration, rounded when needed. |
| Market range | Luxury goods, vehicles, property | A representative point within a broad public market range, not a claim about every example. |
| Public project reference | Factories, launches, infrastructure | Public budgets, filings, program reports, or comparable projects, simplified for play. |
| Fictional gameplay estimate | Mars colonies and deliberately absurd projects | An explicitly fictional value chosen to create scale and a playable endgame. |
Everyday Goods and Consumer Technology
Coffee, meals, phones, laptops, tablets, graphics cards, and similar products use a representative US retail value. We prefer a manufacturer's public store for a defined configuration. Examples include the Apple Store for Apple hardware and a manufacturer product page for other electronics.
Taxes, temporary discounts, financing, delivery, regional differences, optional upgrades, and resale prices are excluded. For ordinary food categories we use a recognizable current retail amount and may compare it with broad consumer price information from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics Consumer Price Index.
Vehicles and Luxury Categories
A category such as an electric SUV, sports car, watch, or designer bag can contain many models and configurations. The displayed value is an indicative new-market reference for the named category. It is not an appraisal of the illustration and does not claim that every item costs the same amount.
Vehicle references are checked against public model pages such as Tesla, Porsche models, and Mercedes-Benz USA. Precious-metal context may use the LBMA precious metal price data. These links establish a source family; the game does not promise live synchronization with them.
Property and Land
Homes, offices, estates, islands, and land are highly location-sensitive. Their game values are broad illustrative estimates informed by public listing ranges and market research such as Zillow Research data. A single value cannot describe every city, parcel, building condition, legal right, or construction specification.
We therefore round property values heavily and treat them as market-range examples. The illustration is not a specific property for sale.
Factories, Rockets, and Large Projects
A factory wing, satellite campaign, sponsorship, aircraft fleet, or launch program has no universal shelf price. We look for public budgets, regulator filings, company disclosures, or comparable programs. Public-company documents can be checked through SEC EDGAR, while US civil-space program context may use NASA budgets, plans, and reports.
These projects differ in scope, schedule, land, staffing, hardware, and risk. The game converts a broad order of magnitude into one readable number; it does not state that a real organization could purchase the exact project for that amount.
Fictional and Satirical Projects
Mars colony packages, terraforming, and intentionally absurd purchases are fictional gameplay estimates. They are included to give the simulator an endgame at the scale of hundreds of billions of dollars. There is no verified market price, and the site does not present one. These items are identified by their premise and should be read as satire rather than procurement data.
The Starting Fortune
The starting balance is an entertainment estimate, not a claim of cash on hand. A public figure's estimated net worth can change with public share prices, private-company valuations, debt, liquidity discounts, and methodology. The game keeps a stable starting value so saved runs remain comparable. It is not a live wealth tracker.
Rounding, Storage, and Calculation
Prices are stored as whole US dollars. Whole-number storage avoids floating-point cents and keeps the cart, balance, and receipt consistent. Rounding also prevents uncertain categories from appearing more precise than their evidence supports.
Review and Correction Log
Major values are reviewed when a source category changes, a public reference becomes clearly outdated, or a reader sends a supported correction. The methodology was last reviewed on July 24, 2026. That review clarified the four price classes, added named source families, and made fictional values explicit.
To suggest a correction, email contact@spendtrillionairemoney.com with the item name, proposed value, configuration or scope, and a reliable public source. We review the evidence before changing the game. Our editorial policy explains how material corrections are dated.
